On July 28th my family and I set out on a journey to move to Milwaukee, WI. Somewhere in the five and half hour trip I realized that I was moving to a city I new very little about and have only been to once as a kid. I would have to find and cultivate new friends and hang outs. It took me 23 years in Minneapolis to find a list of acceptable places for me to worship alcohol and 45 years cultivating friendships. If it took me that long in a city that I was born in; I began to wonder how long it would take me in Milwaukee. That got me thinking why not blog my adventures to find the best hang outs for food, drinks, and all around good times anywhere I go. Also in my thinking I realized I should have a ratings chart so here it goes. I thought since I was going to be rating food I would use the salt shaker method. No salt shaker means really good no seasoning needed and progressively goes to five salt shakers meaning don't bother the food is gross, the place is a mess, and the service sucks. I'm realizing on this journey that I'm a picky person. I love good food, great company, and a clean place. you don't meet these criteria the more salt I give you. So let's begin this adventure and see what culinary place this journey takes us. Last time in Minnesota one of the coolest man I know (not just because cool is in his name, It's because he is a bass player) Sean McCool took me to Masu Sushi & Robata at 330 E Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55414. 
It was the best place to start this blog because the bar manager Krista did the reverse move I'm making. She grew up in Milwaukee and know lives in Minnesota. Also the staff there are so fun to hang out with when you are in MN. I give this place no salt shakers because none are needed. The food is fresh, the rolls are tight, and trust Krista for the sake pairings. She will do you right. Thanks to Krista and our sushi chefs Brandon and James for giving us a wonderful meal, great Sake and even better entertainment. Whenever I come back to Minnesota I will be visiting here for my sushi and I hope you will too.
